Our Beginning
The vision for the museum was born long before its doors ever opened. After years of commitment and planning, the We The People Museum was officially established in 2003, marking the beginning of a journey to create a permanent home for these vital stories. In 2016, the museum welcomed the public for the very first time, transforming vision into reality. From the very beginning, its purpose has been clear: to highlight, safeguard, and amplify a vital part of the national story that too often went unrecognized. What started as an idea has since grown into a powerful cultural landmark, ensuring that these histories will never again fade into silence, but will be carried forward for generations yet to come.
